She couldn't feel her toes anymore, but that didn't matter;
Her Prince would carry her away in a handsome carriage, of course
All she had to do was believe, and he would come

She clutched her umbrella tightly, but couldn't feel it in her hands;
No matter; her ladies-in-waiting would do the fetching and carrying
All she had to do was have faith, and they'd come for her

The perfumed air of Spring had turned to the icy claws of Winter's wind
Just a little longer; because the good things come to those who wait.
Wait and believe.
Don't they?

Thanks! I'm still trying to figure out if that vulture is going to try and land on the umbrella... :giggle:

Once I get some more free time, I'll try and use a lot more of your stock. It's quite unique, and is really very useful! :highfive:

Woo. My legs have gone all cold in sympathy :XD: This is really pretty. I love the softness of it but the clash of the grunge gives it a bit of added depth. Fab work my friend! :hug:

Know of a deviation by someone else that needs promoting? Drop me a note with it and it could be featured! If it is, you get mentioned too! (note title "suggested by signature") :love:
Brilliant! The accompanying story adds a lot. I like how it has the feel of an old-fashioned Christmas card.

The contrast of the lower left of the trees in the background doesn't match the rest of the image, though (but I'm just being picky - it's not really that noticeable ^^;)

Always look on the bright side... there's more light there and it's easier to find stuff.
Egads, the cold wind up that skirt, makes me shiver! :giggle: This is simply delightful, I swear I can hear her saying, "Tut tut, it looks like rain." Most lovely work m'dear. :nod:

I love this--everything fits together so well! The gloves seem so 3D too, as if she is trying to reach out of the picture.

The poem fits so well with the picture--it makes it sad to look at her in the cold, but not depressing. I hope in the end she gets what she wants :(
